Elder Wayne Eric Glasco, beloved pastor of Greater Emmanuel Temple Church, departed from this world on May 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 24, 1952, Wayne was the first of three sons born to Earl Glasco and Thelma Dickerson, who predeceased him. Wayne is survived by his cherished wife of 48 years, Beverly (affectionately known as “Buddy”), whose partnership in life was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Together, they built a family that stands as a living legacy to Wayne's character and values. He is the proud father of five children: Holly (Stan), Wayne Jr., Erica, Jennifer, and Kellie, and a devoted grandfather to seven adoring grandchildren, Britnee, Cameron, Courtney, Colton, Kaiden, Karter, and Kaizeley, who were the light of his life. Wayne also leaves behind his brothers, Kevin and Greg (Lonja), and a vast extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Elder Glasco’s educational journey began at Selasianum High School in Wilmington, DE., from which he graduated in 1970. His career path took him from the precision of welding at Ballymore's in West Chester, PA, to becoming an autoworker at General Motors in Wilmington, Delaware. However, it was his spiritual journey that defined his life's work and legacy. After some years of serving as an altar boy in the Catholic Church, he felt a spiritual longing that led him to Elder William Cramer, who guided him to a deeper understanding of the scriptures. As a result, he was baptized in Jesus' name and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost in 1975. He got involved in church activities and became an active member of the church choir. Elder Glasco proved to be an excellent bible student and his passion for the Greek and Hebrew texts of scripture demonstrated his commitment to understanding God's Word at its deepest level. Shortly after, he was called to the ministry. Ordained as an elder in 1985 at the C.O.O.L.J.C. Holy Convocation in Los Angeles, CA., he received a score of 100% on his catechism and his commitment to his faith was unwavering. Following years of dedicated service, he was elevated to Assistant Pastor, working alongside Bishop William Cramer in an administrative capacity. On May 7, 2016, Elder Glasco formally took the helm as pastor of Greater Emmanuel Temple Church. He continued in Bishop Cramer's footsteps, praying for the sick, visiting hospitals, and preaching the Word. Even though he was a man of few words, his sermons were delivered with authority and power. He was an "Acts 2:38" preacher, including this gospel message in every one of his sermons or bible study lessons ..."Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost". In 2023, Elder Glasco shared his vision for the church, stating that he wanted to see Greater Emmanuel Temple become a place that would draw people of all races, nationalities, and ethnic diversities, be an asset to the community, and that in every accomplishment, God would get the glory. His commitment to community outreach demonstrated his desire to fulfill his vision as he worked tirelessly with non-profit organizations such as the Mitzvah Food program in Chester, PA, and the Kennett Area Community Service (KACS). At Thanksgiving, he would help to distribute turkeys and canned goods to local families. It was important to him that the community see the church as a resource where people could receive help, whether the need was natural or spiritual. Elder Glasco was a very talented artist, loved skateboarding, and was a collector of comic books. He also loved gardening. As the pandemic brought on a new set of challenges, Elder Glasco learned quickly how to navigate social media platforms. He will be remembered for how he signed off of every Zoom bible study: "Get a good night's rest so you can wake up in the morning refreshed, and ready to fight the good fight of faith all over again". Elder Wayne Eric Glasco's life was a beacon of faith, love, and integrity. His legacy is etched in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the community he served. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Terri Lorrece Walker was born on October 30th 1959 in Harlem, New York at Harlem Hospital to the parents of the late Theodore Roosevelt Johnson and Sadie Delilah Johnson. She was the oldest child of 2 girls. Terri grew up in East New York, Brooklyn, New York, and attended Seth Low Intermediate School 96 and Canarsie High School in Brooklyn. As a young woman in the 1970s, she used her gifts to play the flute in her high school marching band, sharing music that reflected the joy and light she carried within her. During her youth, she also became a Girl Scout and excelled through the ranks, earning recognition for her dedication and character. After graduating high school, Terri became a candy striper at a local hospital, where she earned numerous medallions and badges for her service. This experience allowed her to assist with patient care while exploring her interest in a nursing career. Her first job following this role was as a library clerk at the Stone Avenue Public Library, where her love for helping others continued to shine. She later sought employment at Chase Manhattan Bank, where she faithfully served for eight years, building lasting relationships and laying the foundation for her long and respected professional career. After serving as a candy striper, her heart for caring for others led her to King's College, where she pursued her passion and studied nursing. Terri later enrolled at City College in 1978, where she met the love of her life, La-Don Conway Walker, on the A train as they were leaving school. Though small in stature at just 4 feet 6 inches, she captured the heart of La-Don, who stood 6 feet 1 inch tall, a beautiful reminder that God writes love stories not measured in inches, but in hearts. On November 11, 1979, Terri united in holy matrimony with her one true love, La-Don Conway Walker. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion. From their union, God blessed them with three beautiful children and five cherished grandchildren, who became the joy and pride of her life. Terri Walker attended Refuge Church of Christ in Far Rockaway, New York, from birth, where she faithfully served as a choir director and an active member of the youth department. After eleven years of marriage and residing in Far Rockaway, Terri and La-Don relocated to Wilmington, Delaware, where they began attending Greater Emmanuel Temple Church. After several years of faithful fellowship and service, Terri was licensed as a Senior Missionary and was appointed President of the ABYPU (Armor Bearer Young People's Union), a role she carried with dedication and love. She also served in many other areas of ministry, including as a Sunday school teacher, choir director, and praise and worship leader. In addition, she faithfully held leadership roles as an officer in the local Women's Council Department and was a devoted member of the Deacons and Ministers' Wives Guild. Through her service, Terri poured her heart into strengthening the church and encouraging all those around her in faith. During her time in Delaware, Terri worked as an Accounts Payable Manager for Victory Christian Church and several other organizations, receiving numerous awards and certificates throughout her career. She was widely known for her dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic. Terri truly enjoyed what she did and took great pride in doing it well. Along the way, she formed many meaningful friendships with coworkers who became like family. She had a special gift for connecting with people, offering kindness, encouragement, and support. She touched countless lives, not only through her work, but through the genuine care she showed to everyone she encountered. Committed to continued growth and excellence, Terri returned to college and earned a certificate in accounting, receiving academic honors and recognition for achieving grades high enough to be placed on the Dean's List. She also obtained certifications in advanced counseling, reflecting her heart for helping others beyond the workplace. Terri later advanced her career by accepting a position with the State of Delaware, Department of Labor, where she continued to serve faithfully and professionally. In her spare time, Terri enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending quality time with her family and friends, moments she cherished deeply. She lovingly prepared many favorite dishes, including her famous macaroni and cheese, salmon, peach cobbler, banana pudding, red velvet cake, German chocolate cake, and zucchini brownies, each made with care and shared generously with those she loved. Terri also had a passion for sewing and was incredibly talented, even sewing her own wedding dress as well as the dresses for her eighteen bridesmaids, a beautiful reflection of her creativity, dedication, and love. Above all, she was an avid reader and collector of Bibles, finding comfort, strength, and joy in God's Word, which guided her life and faith. Terri loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul. She worshipped not only in church, but in the everyday moments of life. The kitchen often became her sanctuary, where she would sing her favorite gospel songs such as "Uncloudy Day" by Myrna Summers and "When Sunday Comes" by Daryl Coley while at the same time listening to gospel preaching on the television, and having her cellphone tuned into convention services, which reflected her deep hunger for the Word. She sang and praised while driving, witnessed to others whenever the opportunity arose, and often sparked heartfelt conversations with strangers in places like the grocery store. Terri shared her faith boldly, joyfully, and with unwavering love, leaving a lasting spiritual imprint on everyone blessed to know her. She poured that same love into her children and grandchildren, teaching them about Christ not only through her words, but through the way she lived each day. She carried His light wherever she went, and she did it all with deep love, unwavering faith, and a gentle spirit that drew others closer to Him. Terri leaves behind a powerful legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and selfless service. Though she has entered eternal rest, her love remains with her devoted husband: La-Don Conway Walker, her three beloved children: Jason La-Don Walker (and wife (Monica Walker), Jadon-Joel La-Don Walker, and Japhia-Ann La-Shawn Bowman (and husband (Anthony Bowman), and her cherished grandchildren: Melia Grace Bowman, Alina Rose Bowman, Adonis Cash Bowman, Magnus Wynn Bowman and Bryce Xavier Walker. She is also survived by her beautiful mother: Sadie Delilah Johnson, adored sister: Althea Lorraine Candy Johnson, and treasured neice: Mercedes Amber-Ra'e Johnson Floyd. In addition, she leaves behind a host of many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and lifelong friends. Terri was preceded in death by her father: Theodore Roosevelt Johnson.
